ソーシャルメディアの発達で、WEB上のコミュニケーションが営業マンなどのそれに近づいているように感じます。「ひどく清潔で公的でつまらない」営業マンから、誰が製品を買おうとしてくれるでしょう。営業マンは好かれる必要があるのです。

言い換えれば、WEB上のコミュニケーションの様態が実際の社会のそれに近づいている、とも言えるのかも。
現実社会で好かれる人間は、ソーシャルメディア上でも好かれるし、その逆も然り。

批判や失言を恐れてソーシャルメディアに参入しない、というのは（素晴らしい例えなのに出自は失念！)「みんなとほとんどコミュニケーションを取ろうとしない転校生」のようなものだ、という例えがあります。

人間味の無い転校生のことを、同級生たちは影で批判するでしょう。しかしその批判は転校生には届かない。届いていても、やっぱりコミュニケーションが怖いから黙っている。

それではいけない。「実は僕、みんなと仲良くしたかったんだ」と明るく誠実に振舞えば、嫌われ者は人気者になることができるでしょう。もっとも万人の人気者となることはできず、批判は付きまとうでしょう。しかしその批判を真摯に受け止めていけば、予想以上のスピードで、周囲から正当な人間として扱われるようになるでしょう。

黙っていては批判しかされないのです。この点は重要です。
